The Little Mermaid - And Other Fairy Tales

Katie Green, with music by Lorraine Lee Hammond

Katie has listened to these stories since her childhood. Her interpretations tell of desire, struggle, courage, luck, and forgiveness.

Katie's memorable version of Hans Christian Andersen's famous story The Little Mermaid (28min. 25 sec.) accents the theme of the search for immortality. This audiocassette also includes two stories collected by the Grimms Brothers. The Juniper Tree (15 min. 52 sec.) is a "dark" story with a healing refrain. Katie dedicates her telling of this story to young people who live in abusive situations. One Eye, Two Eyes, Three Eyes (13 min. 53 sec.) is a story of sibling rivalry and survival.
